2 commentsEnough about the gowns, what’s HE wearing?

So you may have seen this article featuring the sketches of well-known designers’ ideas for Michelle Obama’s Inaugural ballgown, but I find this week’s article much more interesting.
Sketches submitted from Sean John & D-Squared to Brooks Brothers & Savile Row bespoke tailors run the gamut in styles and show looks for both day and evening. My choice would be the Nautica looks– American designer (FIT grad!), accessible price point (good for a populist image), and classic yet updated look. Another good choice would be Brooks Brothers- not because the sketches are that great (they’re not) but because JFK shopped there.
12 commentsWelcome to the Scuffle!

Hey Scuffletowners, I’d like to introduce you to someone new. La is my new squeeze, and she just joined our ranks. It remains to be seen if she’ll post anything, or just comment, but her tastes mesh pretty perfectly with the rest of Scuffletown. Say hello. (Pictured here, her sketch for a squid chemise. She claims the design is completely unmarketable, but I think all you’d have to do is sell one to Bjork and the rest would sell themselves.)
