Move over ASIMO: Here’s Strong Machine 2

But for those of you yet uninformed, the girl featured in the videos is Mao Murakami, an 11-year-old dancer called ‘Strong Machine 2′ who is part of a j-pop dance group that focuses mainly on robotic movements. I was popping and locking at the very same age, back in the first wave of robot breakdance. But by today’s standards, this may be the coolest 11-year old on the planet:

Now I can make music anywhere
I find this truly amazing.

Gary Hustwit, director of the excellent Helvetica, is working on a new documentary about industrial design, Objectified. I am looking forward to this one.
This guy is not only a good film maker, he is amazingly good at creating publicity for his films. Any independent artist could take a note or two from him.
