Found this on the Tape Op message board earlier. Over the weekend a recording of a 1967 performance by the Velvets surfaced. This wouldn’t be much news except that the quality is pretty good and it highlights an absolute scorcher of a song called “I’m Not a Young Man Anymore” which for all intents and purposes hasn’t been heard since the night it was recorded.

Profiles of five people who dress in one color all the time. (Although technically you could say Karim Rashid wears two colors.) I am reminded of the character Cayce Pollard, protagonist of Pattern Recognition, who only ever wore black, white and gray, and had to remove every trademark from her clothing.1 comment
