A huge HUGE collection of early-20th-century comic strips. Pictured above, one of the many Outbursts of Everett True. (Everett didn’t tend to keep his feelings bottled up.)

Some of the art seems crude, some of the topics dated, some of the depictions offensive, some of the jokes patently unfunny. But there it is really interesting; not just the time-capsule aspect, but some of these are old enough to be firsts of their kind. (I wonder if folks will look at Frogger and Asteroids this way in another 50 years.)

James Randi discusses debunking psychics, with a special focus on Uri Gellar. Around the 6 minute mark, they show the live appearance on The Tonight Show when Johnny Carson put Uri on the spot. Awesome.

Also, you are about to see height of 1970’s men’s fashions; they were doing amazing things with polyester then. Also, Carson smoking on TV.
